Adventures in Drawing

Explore a variety wet and dry drawing techniques while discovering your own personal style through mark making. Use your own form of mark making to capture what you see through contour line, gesture, sighting, and blocking in the form.

Mash Up Mixed Media

Create art through mixing a variety of materials. Students will explore shadow boxes, handmade paper techniques, printmaking, and collage while creating wacky mixed media inventions.

Expression in Painting

Explore a variety of painting techniques while learning to push and pull color space and manipulate feelings through color psychology. Students will enjoy creating expressive paintings through watercolor, acrylic, sumie painting, transfers, and oil resists.

Cartoon Characters

Invent your own crazy cartoon characters through drawing, painting, and collage while exploring basic shapes, patterns, and environments of these crazy characters.

This summer class is a week long session that meets daily for 2 hours from 1pm-3:00pm. Supplies are included in tuition fee. Class lessons will focus on a combination of drawing, painting, and mixed media projects. Art lessons change from week to week. Students who sign up for repeated sessions continue to explore and grow from the previous lessons.
