Class Description

Exploring Nature

Paint in the garden, explore famous landscapes, and learn about art from ancient cultures. Children will explore the outdoors through sketching in the garden, creating Japanese Gyotaku prints, Sumie painting, and molding animals out of clay.

Exploring Portraits

Children will create expressive portraits while learning about proportions of the face and famous portrait painters from art history.

Bugs and Creepy Crawlies

Children will connect to insects through drawing, painting, and collage while exploring basic shapes, patterns, and habitats of these amazing creatures.

Art through Stories

Have fun exploring children's literature. Narrative themes and story-telling inspire students to journey through the fantastic world of children's books.

Summer classes are week long sessions that meet daily for 2 hours from 9am-11:00am. Supplies are included in tuition fee. Class lessons will focus on a combination of drawing, painting, and mixed media projects. Art lessons change from week to week. Students who sign up for repeated sessions continue to explore and grow from the previous lessons.

Classes are held on weekly sessions.
